Data Analyst Team Lead

We're looking for an experienced and business-oriented Analytics Team Lead to join ONE ZERO and help shape the future of digital banking. In this role, you'll lead a team of analysts while working closely with product, marketing, finance, and technology leadership to identify opportunities, set the analytics agenda, and drive impactful initiatives across the organization.

Requirements:

6+ years of experience as a Data Analyst / Business Analyst / Product Analyst or related role, including 1-2+ years in a formal Team Lead or managerial role overseeing analysts.
Proven track record leading a team — setting priorities, managing output quality, and driving professional growth of team members.
Strong analytical thinking with the ability to turn complexity into clarity, and to teach that skill to others.
Experience partnering with senior stakeholders across cross-functional and dynamic environments.
Strong SQL skills, including designing views, CTEs, and complex aggregations – required.
Hands-on experience building or governing a semantic layer (e.g., dbt metrics, Looker LookML, Cube, or similar) – required or strong advantage.
Solid understanding of data modeling concepts – star/snowflake schemas, fact and dimension tables, aggregation strategies.
Experience in fintech, banking, financial services, or regulated environments – significant advantage.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product development processes.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and people leadership skills.

Your Day-to-Day:

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data analysts, setting the bar for analytical rigor and business impact.
Own the analytics team's roadmap and priorities, balancing ad-hoc requests with long-term strategic projects.
Partner with Product, Marketing, Finance, Technology, and other leadership stakeholders to define the analytics agenda and drive cross-functional initiatives.
Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses, clear requirements, and actionable recommendations.
Guide the design and implementation of new products, features, and internal processes from an analytics perspective.
Define and govern KPIs, business cases, and impact measurement frameworks across the organization.
Oversee the architecture of the data warehouse's analytics layer, including views, aggregation tables, and self-serve reporting infrastructure.
Own the semantic layer strategy – metrics, dimensions, and business logic – ensuring consistent, trustworthy reporting across teams.
Establish best practices for SQL, data modeling, and analytics workflows, and ensure the team adheres to them.
Represent the analytics team in leadership discussions, presenting findings, recommendations, and roadmap updates to stakeholders and management.
Support hiring, onboarding, and performance development for the team.
