Atera is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our team! You’ll join a squad focused on building infrastructure for all the RnD teams.

Responsibilities:

As a Backend Developer, you must be comfortable with back-end development (C# .NET Core), database integrations (and ORMs), and deploying to cloud infrastructure.

You will be empowered to drive innovation by coming up with new and exciting ideas to creatively solve issues and proactively look for opportunities to improve the design, interface, and architecture of Atera’s cloud platform.

You will build and maintain microservices platforms and serve as a knowledge source for other developers.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience using either cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP), Kubernetes, and Docker containers.
• Proficiency in C#, .NET Core, and experience in crafting and implementing highly scalable, secure, and performant RESTful micro-services.
• Experience with platform engineering
• Good understanding of relational and NoSQL databases like MSSQL and MongoDB. Advantage:
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Performance optimization for higher throughput.
• Memory management and knowledge of GC concepts.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfortable working alongside AI coding tools (Claude Code or similar). We use AI tooling actively in our workflow, and we expect engineers to leverage it productively and critically.
