The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Product Development team and take ownership of the mechanical design and development of innovative products for critical water infrastructure.

This is a hands-on engineering role offering the opportunity to work across the entire product development process, from initial concept and design through validation and transfer to manufacturing, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and seeing your work translated into real-world solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Take ownership of the mechanical design and development of products, components, and mechanisms, from initial concept through design validation and transfer to manufacturing (NPI).
• Develop new products and improve existing products by applying innovative engineering solutions.
• Ensure compliance with technical requirements, applicable standards, and safety regulations throughout the product lifecycle.
• Perform engineering calculations, analyses, and simulations, as well as cost and risk assessments.
• Select appropriate manufacturing and assembly technologies, incorporating standard components and design-for-manufacturing principles.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Project Management, Product Management, Procurement, Quality, and Operations.
• Support manufacturing processes and the introduction of new products into production.
• Identify and implement product and component improvements.

What You’ll Bring

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering – required; M.Sc. – an advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical product development within an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design and strength of materials.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, including advanced modules such as Simulation and PDM.
• Experience with engineering calculations, simulations, and technical analyses.
• Proven experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), from development through transfer to manufacturing.
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies involving metal, plastic, and rubber components.
• High-level English, both written and spoken.

Advantages

• Experience with 3D scanning and 3D printing.
• Familiarity with Priority ERP.
