Senior Mechanical Engineer

Exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary R&D team and contribute to the development of advanced electromechanical medical products.

The role involves hands-on mechanical design and development, with a strong emphasis on precision drive mechanisms, taking products from initial concept through prototyping, testing, and mass production.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop complex electromechanical products and precision drive mechanisms.
• Lead mechanical design activities from concept through development and transfer to production.
• Develop detailed mechanical designs, 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Build, assemble, and test mechanical components and prototypes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including hardware, software, and manufacturing.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Support design improvements, troubleshooting, and manufacturing activities.

Requirements:

• At least 6 years of proven experience in electromechanical product design and development – Mandatory.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience designing and developing precision drive mechanisms – Mandatory.
• Proven experience taking mechanical designs from concept through development and into production.
• Excellent hands-on proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM.
• Hands-on experience in building, assembling, and testing mechanical components.
• Strong engineering documentation skills, including drawings, specifications, and processes.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent communication skills, independence, problem-solving abilities, and strong teamwork.
• Knowledge of medical device regulations and standards – An advantage.
• Previous experience in the medical device industry – An advantage.
