Senior Hardware Design Engineer

Location: Or Akiva, Israel | Full-Time | On-Site

An established industrial company is seeking an experienced Electrical & Electronics Engineer to join its Engineering and R&D department.

This hands-on role combines electronic board design, new product development, ongoing product engineering, hardware testing, and manufacturing support in a multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic circuits and PCBs for new and existing products.
• Support products throughout their lifecycle, from development to production.
• Develop, improve, and optimize Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
• Perform hardware validation, verification, debugging, and testing.
• Lead design reviews and support hardware/software integration.
• Work with PCB manufacturers and subcontractors.
• Create and maintain BOMs and part numbers using ERP systems.
• Provide engineering support to Production, Quality, Planning, and other departments.
• Conduct laboratory and field testing.
• Prepare functional specifications and technical documentation.
• Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering – Mandatory.
• At least 5 years of experience in electronic hardware and board design – Mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with electronic circuit design and schematic capture tools – Mandatory.
• Experience with PCB manufacturing processes – Mandatory.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Good technical English.
• Strong problem-solving skills, technical ownership, and ability to work across multiple disciplines.

Significant Advantages

• Experience in electronic failure analysis and root cause investigation.
• Experience with multidisciplinary products.
• Experience in RF, BLE, or cellular communication technologies.
• Previous experience in industrial companies, particularly in the water sector.
