Chief Technology Officer

Company Description mental&TEA is an early-stage HealthTech startup (B2G and B2B) building a data and AI-driven platform that optimizes mental health care, well-being, and rehabilitation processes. We bridge the gap between decision-makers and their employees or patients.

Through smart data collection and a strict privacy-first architecture, our platform turns field activity into actionable insights and data-driven decisions. We help organizations streamline their systems, make better decisions, and generate greater impact from their existing resources. Having already secured LOIs from several major organizations as initial customers, we are now approaching our upcoming funding round.

Role Description We are looking for a CTO & Co-Founder to join our founding team in Tel Aviv-Yafo as a true partner with meaningful equity. You will lead our technology vision and execution from 0 to 1, making core architectural decisions, building the product hands-on, and laying the foundation for a secure and scalable platform.

In this role, you will

• Design and build our core data infrastructure, models, and pipelines from scratch (0 to 1) to support complex analytics and decision-making.
• Develop the platform hands-on from end to end, including our backend, web application, user interfaces, and tailored executive dashboards.
• Make pragmatic technology decisions that align with our business strategy and balance performance, rapid delivery, and cost efficiency.
• Set up external cloud infrastructure and strict data anonymization standards, while overseeing managed services and security best practices.
• Work closely with the founders to translate market needs into simple, high-impact solutions, join investor pitches and client sales meetings when needed, and gradually build the engineering team as we scale.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on software engineering and system architecture experience.
• Proven 0 to 1 experience in data engineering and architecture, designing data pipelines, models, and scalable databases from scratch.
• Strong full-stack capabilities with the ability to independently build and deploy web applications, APIs, and data-driven dashboards.
• A strong business and product mindset, able to make core technology decisions rather than just execute them.
• Experience working with external cloud environments and familiarity with cybersecurity and data privacy standards.
• Entrepreneurial drive, great communication skills, and readiness to lead technology in a fast-paced startup.
