CTO / R&D Team Leader

Description & Role responsibilities:
A new deep-tech semiconductor company, with a well-funded budget and long-term customers, is looking for a
talented CTO to lead the development and implement of the company technological strategy and deliverables,
along with a small team of multidisciplinary engineers and researchers in the domain of novel semiconductor
high power and high frequency transistors devices.
The ideal candidate will be capable of leading the team from the prototyping development of a new technology
toward an industrialized and high-performance product. This will include ideation, architecture, design,
simulations, layout delivery to FAB, microfabrication process development, micro-electronics measurements,
data analysis and packaging.
Main tasks:
• Define strategic device performance and applications.
• Device Product Engineering - Define device design prototype qualification and topology for defined
strategic product application implementation. Working closely with the CEO and the team.
• Lead, prioritize and track the team responsibilities and deliverables in a tight schedule while managing
risks and utilize resources.
• Coordinating the technological team tasks.
• Review and approve for execution the device fabrication process flow.
• Review and supervise the device performance characterization.
• Manage technology equipment systems and infrastructure capabilities.
Key qualifications:
• Experience and deep knowledge with microfabrication devices, transistors design/modeling/packaging –
a must.
• Working experience in a high pace/demanding start-up environment – a must.
• Strong project management capabilities with passion for driving high-pace execution on a tight schedule
– a must.
• Experience in leading engineers and research – a must.
• Experience in leading novel technology projects with an end customer - an advantage.
• 4+ years designing and fabricating devices in clean rooms.
• Transistor design experience (ie. FET, TFT or CMOS)
• Strong device physics, design, fab and characterization knowledge

• Experience with different semiconducting materials such as GaN, Si, metal oxides or other wide band-
gap materials.

• Strong interest in building the devices you design.
• Excellent analytical skills
• From Msc to Phd in physics, Electrical Engineering, Material Engineering with experience, or similar
disciplines.
Useful qualifications:
• Experience working with high power FETs or RF FET.
• Silicon on insulator experience
• Experience with digital or analog circuits
• PhD in physics, EE, materials science or similar discipline

• Software simulation skills : ANSYS , TCAD, COMSOL or similar.
