The company develops an autonomous AI Agent that integrates seamlessly into digital storefront data streams to analyze consumer behavior in real time, automatically deploying live UX/UI code adaptations, orchestrating continuous A/B experimentation, and executing real-time personalization.

The company combines early-stage equity upside with an intensive, collaborative engineering culture tackling deep agentic workflows and real-time data pipelines. Located in Central Tel Aviv, operating on a full-time in-office model.

Role Description

• Serving as Director of Engineering / Hands-on Engineering Leader, reporting directly to the CTO and spearheading the core development organization.
• Directly managing an agile squad of 4 engineers (scaling rapidly to 6+), while maintaining a heavy hands-on development footprint (~70%) across backend, frontend, data, and agentic workflows.
• Holding comprehensive architectural authority across Node.js, React, Next.js, and GCP/BigQuery, establishing technical standards and driving end-to-end system design.
• Designing and implementing production-grade Agentic AI systems, autonomous decision-making loops, and real-time website personalization engines.
• Driving the execution of continuous A/B testing infrastructure, automated deployment mechanisms, and low-latency client-side integrations for high-traffic E-Commerce platforms.
• Partnering closely with the founders to translate business goals into technological roadmaps, mentoring squad engineers, and cultivating an elite, high-velocity engineering culture.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or Software Engineering – Mandatory
• At least 3 years of proven experience as a Startup CTO OR a completed tenure as an Engineering Group Manager / Director of Engineering – Mandatory
• Proven track record from fast-growing B2B/B2C SaaS companies – Mandatory
• Deep, proven hands-on mastery in Node.js development and backend system architecture – Mandatory
• Significant practical, hands-on experience building with Agentic AI, LLM orchestration frameworks, and autonomous multi-agent workflows – Mandatory
• Strong full-stack architectural background, with working knowledge of modern frontend frameworks (React / Next.js) and cloud data infrastructure (GCP / BigQuery) – Mandatory
• Demonstrated ability to balance executive technological leadership with deep, roll-up-your-sleeves hands-on coding – Mandatory
• Willingness to work in a high-energy, full-time on-site setup in Central Tel Aviv – Mandatory
• Fluent professional communication in English (written and verbal) – Mandatory
