Principal Software Engineer (Node.js / React)

About the Role

We're looking for an exceptional Principal Software Engineer to join an established B2B SaaS company and play a key role in shaping the architecture, scalability, and technical direction of its platform.

This is a highly hands-on role for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, designing scalable systems, and driving engineering excellence.

You'll work across the full stack, take ownership of complex technical initiatives, and have a significant impact on both the product and the engineering team.

What You'll Do

• Design, architect, and develop complex, scalable, high-performance software systems.
• Lead technical and architectural decisions across backend and frontend.
• Take end-to-end ownership of complex features, from system design through production.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across applications and databases.
• Drive code quality, engineering best practices, and system reliability.
• Work with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and modern development technologies.
• Design and implement AI-driven automation and workflows integrated into production systems.
• Mentor engineers and serve as a technical leader within the R&D team.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on software development experience, including significant experience in senior technical roles.
• Deep expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and React.
• Strong background in backend engineering and complex system design.
• Proven experience making architectural decisions and designing scalable, production-grade systems.
• Deep knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including complex queries, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with AWS, microservices, and distributed architectures.
• Strong understanding of software performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing AI-driven automation and workflows in production systems.
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership and technical leadership.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
