Senior Application Support Engineer

Senior Application Support Engineer | Tier 3 | .NET & SQL

A leading organization in Central Israel is seeking an experienced Senior Application Support Engineer (Tier 3) to support and maintain complex enterprise Web applications in production environments.

This is a senior technical role designed for professionals with a strong software development background, combining advanced troubleshooting, C#/.NET, SQL, application architecture, and close collaboration with Development, Infrastructure, and DevOps teams.

What You'll Do

• Provide advanced Tier 3 technical support for enterprise Web applications and production systems
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application and production incidents
• Maintain existing systems, perform root cause analysis, and improve application stability
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries and Stored Procedures
• Work with IIS, application servers, Web Services, and APIs
• Perform code-level debugging and analyze application logs to identify underlying issues
• Support software development, system implementations, upgrades, and production releases
• Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, DevOps, Information Security, and business teams
• Identify recurring issues and implement improvements to system reliability and service quality
• Provide expert technical assistance to internal users and stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of relevant professional experience
• Significant previous experience in software development, preferably at a senior developer level
• Hands-on development experience with C# and .NET, preferably .NET Core
• Experience with SQL, including complex queries and Stored Procedures
• Experience with IIS, Web Services, and APIs
• Experience working with application servers and different server configurations
• Understanding of Microsoft operating systems and networking infrastructure
• Strong debugging, application log analysis, and troubleshooting capabilities
• Solid understanding of Web application architecture and enterprise systems
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure
• Strong service orientation and communication skills

Education

Candidates must meet at least one of the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Another bachelor's degree plus at least 300 hours of advanced Information Systems studies
• Bachelor's degree in another engineering discipline plus at least 200 hours of software studies
• Practical Engineering diploma in Computers or a relevant technology field
• No academic degree, with at least 400 hours of advanced Information Systems courses
• Graduate of a relevant IDF technological unit, such as Mamram, Unit 8200, C4I, or an equivalent unit, and/or a relevant military technological training program, with applicable technical experience

Availability

Willingness to participate in a full on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays, approximately one week out of every three.
