Junior QA Engineer

About the role. Roojoom builds conversational AI for enterprise telcos. Our Care platform guides millions of customer sessions a month across voice, IVR, chat and web, with a GenAI layer answering live callers. We're looking for a Junior QA Engineer to help keep that system reliable: if you're a QA course graduate (or have equivalent early experience) with sharp attention to detail and a real interest in how software breaks, this is a strong place to start.

You'll work closely with the tech lead, developers and product on every release, and you'll be testing AI-driven conversations, not just screens, which is a skill few QA engineers have yet.

What you'll do

• Execute manual test cases to verify functionality, usability and performance across web, IVR and voice flows.
• Run regression, smoke, sanity and exploratory testing before and after each release.
• Identify, document and track defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps.
• Work with developers and product to understand requirements and turn them into test plans and test cases.
• Validate UI/UX consistency and flag usability issues.
• Test conversational AI behavior: call flows, prompt changes, edge cases and regressions in the GenAI layer.
• Check logs and data (Linux, SQL, Grafana) to confirm what actually happened behind a failure.
• Learn automation fundamentals over time and contribute to our E2E test suites as you grow.

Requirements

• QA course graduate, or similar hands-on experience in software testing.
• Solid grasp of testing concepts: test cases, bug lifecycle, test plans, regression vs. sanity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the patience to reproduce a bug properly.
• Attention to detail and a passion for software quality.
• Clear written communication in English; Hebrew for day-to-day work.
• Good team player who asks questions and speaks up early.

Nice to have

• Basic SQL (simple queries to validate data).
• Familiarity with Linux commands for reading logs.
• Any exposure to Python, Postman or an automation framework.
• A technical degree (CS, EE or similar).
• French, for working with our customers in France.
