Frontend & Web Sandbox Engineer

About the opportunity

A cutting-edge AI startup transforming how software is imagined, built, and launched is looking for a Frontend & Web Sandbox Engineer to build the core of its browser based development environment.

You will take ownership of the code editor, live preview, and isolated execution of user code. This role combines advanced frontend engineering, browser internals, and developer experience.

What you will do

• Build and improve the code editing and live preview experience.

• Implement isolated browser environments for executing user code.

• Analyze and validate code using Abstract Syntax Trees and parsing tools.

• Develop reliable text editing, diff, and patch mechanisms.

• Optimize performance and deliver a polished, intuitive user experience.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience building complex frontend applications with React and TypeScript.

• Practical experience with browser execution isolation using technologies such as sandboxed iframes, WebContainers, or Workers.

• Strong expertise in AST analysis and code parsing using tools such as babel/parser, esbuild wasm, or Prettier.

• Experience with Monaco Editor or CodeMirror, text editing algorithms, and diff and patch mechanisms.

• Strong attention to performance, usability, and interface quality.

An advantage

• Experience building VS Code extensions.

• Experience developing online IDEs or low code and no code platforms.

Location and working arrangements

Offices in Tel Aviv and Ashdod. Initial onboarding will be on site, with greater flexibility afterward. Availability to start soon is required.
