IT Support & Field Technician

About PAYTAG

PAYTAG builds RFID systems that run in live fashion stores across Israel. We're a startup, and our products are real, physical devices that customers use every day. We're looking for someone hands-on to keep them running.

The Role

You'll be the person our stores call when something isn't working, and the one who spots problems before they do. This is a service and support role, split between the field, the office, and remote support. It's a great starting point for someone who wants to learn a lot and grow with a company.

What You'll Do

• Support tickets: Handle requests from stores and customers, which arrive through WhatsApp groups, chats, and (soon) a ticketing platform
• Remote support: Talk store workers and managers through problems by phone, and fix issues remotely whenever possible
• Monitoring: Keep an eye on our monitoring system throughout the day to make sure every device across Israel is up and running. When something goes down, fix it directly from the system, or decide whether someone needs to go on site
• Field work: Go to stores to fix cables, antennas, computers, and network issues. Most weeks that's 1-2 times, some weeks none, and when needed it can be every day. Flexibility here is a must
• Grow with us: As a startup, you'll be exposed to many parts of the business and can grow your responsibilities over time

What We're Looking For

• Strong service orientation and patience when talking with non-technical people under pressure
• Solid basic understanding of computers, Windows, and networking (Wi-Fi, routers, cabling)
• Comfort working hands-on: cables, hardware, troubleshooting on site
• Driver's license and willingness to travel to stores around Israel, including on short notice and as often as needed
• Responsible, reliable, and takes problems from start to finish
• Good communication skills in Hebrew (English is a plus)

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in IT support, a help desk, or field technician work
• Experience with retail, POS, or RFID systems
• Own vehicle
