Role Description

The Senior System Administrator will take end-to-end ownership of the IT infrastructure of a leading, well-established client organization. Day-to-day activities include managing NetApp storage systems (Snapshots, SnapMirror/SnapVault) and Veeam backup environments, maintaining the VMware vSphere environment (vCenter, ESXi), and ensuring high availability, performance, and disaster recovery readiness of critical systems and services. The role also covers networking and security infrastructure, including FortiGate firewalls, Fortinet WiFi, and HP and Aruba switches; endpoint protection with CrowdStrike in a multi-tenant setup; patch management and automation with BigFix; NAC; and Microsoft 365 administration, including Conditional Access. The System Administrator will troubleshoot complex incidents, lead infrastructure projects, and write procedures, processes, and work plans, working closely with Keystone’s consulting team and the client’s stakeholders. This is a full-time, fully on-site role at a client location in the Carmel Coast area (between Hadera and Haifa, near Route 2), with no work from home. Both salaried employment and freelance/contract engagement are possible. The site is not conveniently accessible by public transportation, so independent commuting by private car is required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure in mid-to-large organizations, combined with experience leading projects.
• In-depth experience with VMware vSphere, including design, deployment, performance tuning, and high availability.
• Strong experience with backup and storage systems, including business continuity and disaster recovery planning. Hands-on experience with NetApp (ONTAP, SnapMirror/SnapVault) and Veeam is a significant advantage.
• Experience in Network Administration with FortiGate firewalls, Fortinet WiFi, and HP and Aruba switches, including troubleshooting at L2/L3.
• Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike (installation, management, monitoring, and incident response in a multi-tenant environment) is required.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including user and license management, SharePoint, security policies, and Conditional Access.
• Familiarity with BigFix, NAC principles and enforcement, and AI tools and their practical implementation.
• Ability to write procedures, processes, and work plans, with strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with F5, PacketFence, relevant certifications (e.g., NCDA, VMCE, VCP, NSE), and prior work in enterprise or regulated environments are an advantage.
