Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Role Description The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Nesher, North District of Israel, at HISH’s facility. This position is responsible for mechanical design and modeling activities for full scale equipment designs and manufacture, including concept development, detailed machine design, and product improvement. Day-to-day tasks include creating and reviewing CAD models and drawings, performing mechanical calculations, selecting materials and components, integration and ensuring designs comply with safety and industry standards. The engineer collaborates closely with the Engineering manager and Project managers to develop designs, resolve design issues, and optimize system performance. The role also includes mentoring less experienced engineers, contributing to design best practices, and participating in technical discussions with clients and partners.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering, with proven experience in industrial machinery or conveying systems.
• Proficiency in Machine Design and Product Design, including mechanism development, component selection, and design for manufacturability.
• Advanced skills in Solidworks including 3D modeling and technical drawing preparation.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with industrial standards, safety regulations, and engineering documentation.
• Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with attention to detail and quality.
• Experience in project-based environments or material handling systems is an advantage.
