Hardware Engineer – Medical Devices

We are looking for a Hardware Engineer to join an R&D team developing advanced medical devices.

This is a hands-on role for an engineer with 3–6 years of experience who enjoys working across hardware design, board bring-up, debugging, testing, and system integration as part of a multidisciplinary R&D environment.

What you'll do:

• Contribute to the design and development of electronic hardware for new and existing products

• Perform board-level bring-up, debugging, and system-level testing

• Work closely with Mechanical, Software, Systems, Quality, and Manufacturing teams

• Support hardware verification and validation activities, including test plan preparation and execution

• Support EMC and safety compliance testing, including work with external test laboratories

• Support testing according to applicable medical device safety and performance standards, including IEC 60601

• Prepare and maintain hardware documentation, including schematics, BOMs, test plans, and test reports

• Support design transfer from R&D to manufacturing and production readiness

• Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to resolve technical issues

What we're looking for:

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering

• 3–6 years of hands-on experience in hardware design and development

• Practical experience with digital board design and debugging of complex hardware systems

• Hands-on laboratory experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, and soldering tools

• Experience supporting EMC and safety compliance activities

• Experience working in multidisciplinary R&D teams

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to have:

• Experience in the medical device industry or another regulated environment

• Experience with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB design

• Experience developing and debugging boards incorporating CPUs, FPGAs, and MCUs

• Basic familiarity with high-speed digital design

• Familiarity with Linux environments

• Experience with hardware verification, validation, design transfer, and manufacturing support
