Role Description The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will lead the design and development of industrial ventilation, filtration, and air treatment systems, ensuring that solutions meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. This full-time hybrid role is based in Ashkelon, with a combination of on-site work at company and client facilities and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating detailed mechanical designs and 3D models, preparing manufacturing drawings, and selecting components and materials suitable for harsh industrial environments. The engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, production teams, and installation crews to support project planning, cost estimation, and technical documentation. Additional tasks include reviewing and optimizing existing designs, participating in site surveys, resolving engineering issues during installation and commissioning, and contributing to continuous improvement of design standards and processes.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical design skills, including proficiency with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and creation of detailed drawings and assemblies.
• Experience in designing industrial ventilation, HVAC, dust collection, or filtration systems, including understanding of airflow, structural integrity, and materials selection.
• Knowledge of relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and industrial best practices for mechanical systems and installations.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, installation, and sales) and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Proven track record of leading projects, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Experience with design for manufacturability and maintainability, including close cooperation with workshops and field installation crews.
• Good command of written and spoken English; Hebrew proficiency is an advantage for local coordination.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model, including regular presence on site in Ashkelon and occasional visits to customer locations.
