Senior Data Scientist | Leading Financial Organization | Central Israel

A leading financial organization in Central Israel is looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join its Data team and lead end-to-end Machine Learning solutions – from business understanding and research through model development, deployment, and ongoing performance in Production.

This role combines strong analytical and research capabilities with hands-on technical ownership, working with large-scale datasets and collaborating closely with Engineering, Product, Data, and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Data Science and Machine Learning solutions, from initial research to Production
• Translate complex business challenges into analytical and Machine Learning solutions
• Perform research, feature engineering, model development, training, validation, and optimization
• Analyze and work with large-scale datasets using Python and SQL
• Own the transition of Machine Learning models from development environments into Production
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to integrate models into production systems
• Monitor model performance in Production and identify performance degradation or model drift
• Continuously optimize models, methodologies, and analytical processes
• Communicate analytical findings and actionable insights to business and technical stakeholders
• Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Data, and Research teams
• Drive high technical and analytical standards throughout the model lifecycle

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist – required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Industrial Engineering & Management with an Information Systems specialization, or another relevant quantitative/technical field
• Strong hands-on experience developing, training, and validating Machine Learning models
• Proven experience taking ML models from development through deployment into Production – required
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience working with data pipelines and preparing large-scale datasets for modeling
• Strong experience with model validation, performance evaluation, and optimization
• Solid understanding of software development practices and Production environments
• Experience with model monitoring and maintaining ML solutions throughout their lifecycle
• Ability to independently own and lead complex Data Science initiatives
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business-oriented thinking
• Experience in financial services or complex enterprise environments – an advantage
