Mechanical Design Engineer

We are hiring an Experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for our customer, An established industrial technology company in the Be’er Sheva area.

The company develops and manufactures advanced technological products in a multidisciplinary engineering and manufacturing environment.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who enjoys combining mechanical design with real-world manufacturing, solving engineering challenges, supporting production, improving existing products and processes, and taking products from development into production.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing engineering support to the production floor and solve technical issues in real time

• Investigate failures in existing systems, identify root causes, and implement engineering improvements

• Design and develop mechanical parts and assemblies using SolidWorks

• Prepare detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documentation

• Lead product transfer from development to production (NPI)

• Define and optimize manufacturing processes and technologies

• Work with subcontractors, manufacturers, and suppliers in Israel and abroad

• Support assembly and integration processes

• Perform strength and tolerance calculations

• Support manufacturing process stabilization and cost-reduction initiatives

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering – Must

• At least 5 years of proven mechanical design experience in a development or manufacturing environment – Must

• High proficiency in SolidWorks – Must

• Experience in defining and stabilizing manufacturing processes and driving cost-reduction initiatives – Must

• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing technologies, including CNC machining, sheet metal, plastics, casting, and composite materials

• Excellent technical Hebrew and English, including reading, writing, and speaking – Must

• Strong computer skills – Must

• Experience in the optics or semiconductor industry – Significant advantage

• Experience with 3D printing – Advantage
