QA Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on QA professional who takes ownership of quality, identifies edge cases, understands systems end-to-end, and works closely with the development team to prevent issues before they reach production.

Job Summary

PayPlus, a leading fintech company providing financial solutions for businesses, is expanding its product portfolio and looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our R&D team.

The role includes manual and automated testing, working closely with developers and product managers, and ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of our products throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and user stories and define appropriate test scenarios.
• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and regression suites.
• Perform functional, integration, system, end-to-end, exploratory, and regression testing.
• Test REST APIs, backend services, databases, and integrations with external systems.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects using Jira or similar tools.
• Develop and maintain automated tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform performance, scalability, and load testing when required.
• Investigate production issues using logs, monitoring tools, and database queries.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate closely with Development, Product, and QA teams.
• Ensure software meets quality standards before release.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Software QA.
• Strong experience with manual and automated testing.
• Experience with API testing using Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or similar tools.
• Experience with SQL and database validation.
• Experience with Jira or similar bug tracking/test management tools.
• Good understanding of web applications, APIs, microservices, and client-server architecture.
• Automation experience using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or similar languages.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter, k6, or LoadRunner.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications & Advantages

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field — advantage.
• Experience with fintech, payments, or financial systems — strong advantage.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or Kibana — advantage.
• Experience testing mobile applications — advantage.
