We're looking for an experienced Software Team Leader to lead a software development team and advance our engineering standards. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll define the technical direction, build the first solutions, set the technical bar for the team, and turn new AI ideas into reliable production systems.

Responsibilities

• Guide a team of full-stack developers in building The5ers' core applications, from architecture through production.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers, fostering their growth and promoting strong engineering practices.
• Make hands-on technical decisions for backend (Node.js/NestJS) and frontend (React/Next.js) components, including how and where to apply AI and agent frameworks.
• Identify pain points and drive improvements in our codebase, processes, and technology choices.
• Ensure daily alignment, remove blockers, and champion best practices and psychological safety within the team
• Own end-to-end QA and champion a quality-first, "shift-left" testing culture across the team.
• Partner with Product and Design to translate business goals into feasible, scalable technical roadmaps
  
  

• 4+ years of experience as a team lead
• Strong hands-on experience with our stack – Node.js/NestJS, React/Next.js, PostgreSQL/MongoDB, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Experience designing, building, and deploying AI agents to production from prototyping through to reliable, live systems using LLM frameworks and infrastructure (e.g., AWS Bedrock, PyTorch, Hugging Face)
• Experience embedding AI across the software development lifecycle (SDLC) – from AI-assisted coding and code review to automated testing, CI/CD, and deployment workflows.
• Strong experience designing and operating cloud-based microservices architectures, with a proven track record running high-scale, high-throughput production systems
• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)

• Background working with monorepo environments
• Knowledge of Pub/Sub solutions (Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka) and event-driven architecture
• Background in fintech, trading, or financial markets
• Research, patents, or strong open-source contributions in AI systems
