Who we are

We're CookieByte Entertainment, an indie video games developer focused on unique strategy/simulation games for PC and Consoles.

After launching our first RPG Fort Triumph, we're now hard at work on our upcoming title - Tattered Banners, a strategy RPG set in a simulated fantasy world where cities rise and fall, bandits raid merchants to upgrade their camps, and noble houses vie for power.

Tattered Banners has reached 50k wishlists on Steam since launching earlier this year, received a lot of positive responses from fans of the genre, a video by Splattercat reaching 185k views, and more. It's becoming clearer materials from the game are receiving a lot of positive responses, and now we're looking to leverage that further by adding someone capable to lead the social media side.

About the role:

We're looking for a passionate Social Media Manager & Video Content Creator to help build our Discord community, drive Steam wishlists, and lead our video content strategy across YouTube, Reddit, X, Steam, and other channels and gaming communities.

The role involves creating and editing videos in bulk, posting updates, showing off the simulated world mechanics that make the game unique, engaging players and always being on the lookout for opportunities to grow the community.

The Role:

• Plan, edit, and publish videos showcasing the living world simulation, emergent storytelling, and RPG mechanics in Tattered Banners.
• Grow and manage our YouTube channel, Discord server, and social presence across Reddit, Steam, and X.
• Execute outreach to gaming communities, news websites, and creators.

Requirements:

• Knowledge and familiarity with video games and video game culture.
• Hands-on experience with video editing and producing content.
• Proven track record growing social channels, YouTube, or Discord communities, ideally from scratch.
• Must provide links or a portfolio of past video edits or managed channels when applying.
• Fluent or native-level written English skills.

Bonus:

• Passion and familiarity with RPGs, Strategy, or Simulation games and communities.
• Artistic background or strong visual eye. As a small indie team we all wear many hats, a candidate with art skills can help contribute to in-game visuals which effects both the game and social media content.
