Quality Assurance Manager

A leading defense company specializing in advanced optical and sighting systems is looking for an experienced Quality Department Manager to lead and drive its quality organization.

This is a key leadership role with broad responsibility for maintaining and continuously improving the company's quality standards while ensuring compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the company's Quality Department.
• Directly manage a team of approximately 8 quality professionals.
• Plan and lead internal and external quality audits.
• Develop, update, and maintain quality procedures and documentation.
• Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deliver quality training and ensure implementation of quality procedures across the organization.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors on quality-related matters.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, Procurement, Production Planning, Warehouse, and Logistics teams.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements in accordance with company policies.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience managing quality systems, preferably in the defense or manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001; experience with additional quality standards is an advantage.
• Experience in quality assurance and quality control within electronics, mechanical engineering, or optics.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and logistics processes.
• Proven experience leading and managing teams.
• Experience with measurement and inspection processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience working with Priority ERP – significant advantage.
• Practical Engineer or B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Optics, or a related discipline – advantage.
• Quality Engineering or Quality Management certification – advantage.
• Fluent English (reading and writing).
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
