Data Analyst

We’re hiring a Data Analyst / Data Researcher to join a young cybersecurity startup building a product in the Insider Threat space.

The company’s platform analyzes user behavior, endpoint activity, and organizational context to identify risky behavior and prevent data leaks and security threats.

What you’ll do

• Analyze and investigate large volumes of logs, events, and security data.
• Write complex queries using SQL, Kibana, and OpenSearch.
• Investigate events and identify unusual patterns and potential security risks.
• Build dashboards and turn data into actionable insights.
• Create and improve Detection Rules.
• Conduct research on large datasets and translate findings into product logic.
• Work closely with Data Science and Data Engineering teams.
• Help build research methodologies and processes from the ground up.

What we’re looking for:

• 4+ years of relevant experience in Data Analysis, Data Research, Security Analytics, or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience working with large-scale data / Big Data.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries.
• Hands-on experience with both Kibana and OpenSearch - mandatory.
• Experience investigating and analyzing logs, events, or large volumes of system data.- a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to spot patterns and turn data into conclusions.
• A curious mindset and the ability to learn new systems and technologies independently.

Nice to have

• Python for data analysis or automation.
• Background in Cybersecurity / Security
• Experience with Elasticsearch.
• Experience with Detection, Threat Research, or Security Analytics.
• Experience working with endpoint telemetry, fraud, or risk data.
• Experience working closely with Data Science and Data Engineering teams.
• Experience working with large-scale data at companies with high data volumes.
