QA & V&V Engineer – Medical Device Software

We are looking for a hands-on QA & V&V Engineer to join our R&D team and take a central role in ensuring the quality of a complex medical system combining software, hardware, networking, and clinical workflows.

This position combines system testing, software verification, technical troubleshooting, documentation, and the gradual development of automated testing capabilities.

• Plan, write, and execute software and system verification tests.
• Translate product and system requirements into clear test scenarios and protocols.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, installation, recovery, and end-to-end testing.
• Investigate complex issues using application logs, Linux tools, databases, and network information.
• Document defects clearly and work closely with software, system, support, and product teams.
• Evaluate release readiness and identify product risks before release.
• Maintain test documentation, traceability, test results, and verification evidence.
• Identify suitable test cases for automation.
• Develop and expand automated tests using Python and relevant testing tools.
• Use modern AI-assisted tools to improve test design, automation, analysis, and efficiency.
• Analyze testing trends, defect patterns, test duration, and release-quality indicators.

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Practical experience in software QA, system testing, V&V, or a similar technical role.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of testing activities.
• Experience working with requirements and creating structured test cases.
• Technical understanding of software systems, databases, operating systems, and communication between system components.
• Basic programming or scripting experience, preferably in Python or JS.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience with medical devices or another regulated industry.
• Experience with automated testing tools.
• Experience with Linux, Git, Jira.
• Experience testing systems that combine software and hardware.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity testing or software-security concepts.
• Experience using AI tools for coding, testing, or technical analysis.

This is a hands-on QA and V&V position, not a pure software-development role.

A significant part of the work includes manual system testing, verification documentation, troubleshooting, and close collaboration with the development team. At the same time, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to build and expand our automated testing capabilities.

The role is suitable for someone who enjoys understanding complete systems, finding difficult problems, improving processes, and taking responsibility for product quality.
