Head of Frontend Engineering

R&D Team | Reports to CTO | Tel Aviv (On-site)

About the role

We are looking for a Head of Frontend Engineering to join our R&D team and lead the direction of the React-based web application that powers our primary product. This is a leadership role with real ownership, strong influence on technical decisions, and responsibility for shaping both the frontend stack and the team behind it. You'll set technical direction while staying close to the code, working alongside engineers and designers in a highly collaborative, fast-moving environment.

What you'll do

• Own the direction, quality, and architecture of a production-grade React + TypeScript web application
• Lead the frontend function end-to-end, from technical strategy to hands-on implementation of critical features
• Define frontend architecture and set standards for the entire codebase
• Establish and enforce practices for high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Drive improvements in performance, reliability, and overall user experience
• Own code review processes and elevate engineering best practices across the team
• Collaborate closely with engineers and designers in tight, day-to-day teamwork
• Shape the long-term technical direction and future of the frontend stack

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience building complex web applications with React and TypeScript
• Deep understanding of modern frontend architecture, patterns, and best practices
• Proven track record owning features or systems end-to-end in production environments
• A history of leading or mentoring engineers and setting technical direction
• High standards for code quality, performance, and maintainability
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced R&D environment
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to make thoughtful, high-impact technical decisions and drive them to completion
