Quality Department Manager | Leading Defense Company | Caesarea Area, Israel

A leading defense company located in the Caesarea area is seeking an experienced Quality Department Manager to lead and manage the company's Quality organization.

This is a key leadership role responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the company's Quality Management System while ensuring compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the company's Quality Department.
• Directly manage a team of approximately 8 Quality professionals.
• Lead internal and external quality audits.
• Develop, maintain, and improve quality procedures and documentation.
• Lead root cause investigations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deliver quality training and promote quality awareness throughout the organization.
• Work closely with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors on quality-related matters.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, Procurement, Planning, Warehouse, and Logistics teams.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, and Environmental requirements.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience managing Quality systems within a manufacturing environment (defense industry experience is a strong advantage).
• Hands-on experience with ISO 9001; familiarity with additional quality standards is an advantage.
• Experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Electro-Optics.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and logistics processes.
• Proven experience leading and managing teams.
• Familiarity with inspection and measurement processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Priority ERP – significant advantage.
• Engineering degree or Practical Engineering diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electro-Optics, or a related discipline – advantage.
• Quality Engineering or Quality Management certifications – advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Willingness to travel within Israel and internationally when required.
