In this role, you will lead the development of a modern data infrastructure that supports advanced analytics and actuarial reporting. You'll work closely with IT, business units, actuarial teams, and data & analytics stakeholders to drive innovation and deliver high-quality data solutions.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of System Analysts and/or QA professionals.
• Build and execute the team's annual work plan while monitoring progress and delivery.
• Design and implement large-scale data repositories using modern data architecture and infrastructure.
• Drive data innovation while ensuring efficient, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Prioritize business and technical requirements with Information Systems and Data Engineering teams.
• Maintain and enhance existing data repositories.
• Establish robust data quality controls, validation processes, and data governance practices.
• Own data cataloging and ensure data consistency and reliability.
• Develop a deep understanding of the business and actuarial domain to optimize new data solutions for future analytical and reporting needs.

Requirements

• Significant experience in Data roles within the Actuarial/Insurance domain – Required.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL for data analysis – Required.
• Experience designing data validation processes, automation, testing, and data quality controls.
• Previous experience managing QA professionals and/or System Analysts – Advantage.
• This position is also an excellent fit for experienced individual contributors looking to transition into their first leadership role.
• Experience working with SAS – Strong advantage.
• Hands-on experience with modern data technologies, platforms, and infrastructure – Advantage.
