For a Global High-Tech Company in the Science Park, Rehovot-We are looking for a I&C Sustain Engineer to support existing systems projects, lead standardization, guide preventive maintenance, lead calibration, lead technology upgrades for Instrumentation & Control systems across our facilities.

In this role, you will act as I&C systems owner, to ensure system reliability and performance, lead preventive maintenance planning, manage spare parts and documentation, develop calibration programs, and implement innovative solutions for energy efficiency and predictive diagnostics. You will collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and project teams and provide Tier 2 & Tier 3 technical support.

What you'll be doing

• Act as I&C systems owner for projects – approve design guidelines and review engineering documentation.
• Lead standardization of I&C equipment selection and documentation.
• Drive Re-engineering initiatives, integrate smart control components, improve energy efficiency, and predictive diagnostics.
• Write specifications and operational procedures; maintain and update drawings and documents in DCC/ACC.
• Define and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) plans for I&C systems.
• Develop calibration plans, supervise calibration contractors, and perform risk assessments.
• Manage spare parts inventory, identify obsolete equipment, and develop replacement strategies.
• Provide Tier 2 & Tier 3 support for instrumentation/control faults and shutdown events.
• Train I&C technicians on fault handling and preventive maintenance.

What should you have?

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in I&C systems within industrial or infrastructure environments.
• Proven ability to write technical specifications, define requirements, and develop equipment specifications.
• Familiarity with ISA standards, control panel design, control architecture, and industrial communication protocols.
• Proven experience and in-depth familiarity with engineering processes, including design, execution, testing, and commissioning/start-up.
• Practical experience in preventive maintenance planning, instrumentation
• Calibration, documentation management, and standardization.
• In-depth knowledge and proven experience with Siemens PLCs, control systems and instrumentation from leading manufacturers.
• Familiarity with SCADA platforms – experience with GE Simplicity is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• High proficiency in English (spoken and written).
