Data Operations Specialist

NESS is seeking a Data Operations Specialist.

The role includes providing access to relevant data layers, implementing privacy protection mechanisms, and managing the computing resources and budget of the research environment on an ongoing basis.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role – Mandatory.
• Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with BigQuery – Mandatory.
• Strong understanding of security mechanisms in Google Cloud Platform, including IAM and Policy Tags – Mandatory.
• Experience in budget management – Mandatory.
• Experience in metadata management and data classification/tagging using Data Catalog (formerly Dataplex) – Mandatory.
• Familiarity with de-identification methodologies and data masking techniques, including transferring data to research environments while applying data masking to sensitive fields – Mandatory.
• Familiarity with AI tools and advanced work environments such as Amazon Q – Advantage.
• Experience managing dedicated libraries and establishing collaborative workspaces/groups for researchers – Advantage.
