Operational Excellence Engineer

Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is seeking an experienced Operational Excellence & Process Improvement Manager to lead organization-wide initiatives focused on process optimization, operational efficiency, performance management, and continuous improvement.

This is a highly impactful role within the Human Resources Division, working closely with senior leadership to improve organizational effectiveness across a complex and dynamic institution.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end process improvement initiatives across university departments.
• Identify operational bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and value creation opportunities.
• Design and implement continuous improvement methodologies and best practices.
• Conduct organizational analysis, workforce planning, work measurement, and performance studies.
• Develop KPIs, management dashboards, and performance monitoring frameworks.
• Analyze organizational data and provide insights that support strategic decision-making.
• Lead change management initiatives and support implementation across multiple stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and capability-building programs.
• Partner with managers and executives to drive sustainable operational excellence.
• Develop and maintain procedures, work instructions, and operational standards.

What We're Looking For

• B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering & Management.
• At least 5 years of experience in Operational Excellence, Process Improvement, Organizational Development, Business Process Analysis, or Operations Consulting.
• Proven experience implementing Lean methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks.
• Strong analytical capabilities, including KPI development and data-driven decision making.
• Experience conducting organizational analysis, workforce planning, and work measurement studies.
• Experience leading projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience delivering training programs and facilitating workshops.
• Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and diverse stakeholders.
