Field Services Engineer: Integration & Energy Storage Systems

The Role

We are looking for a true team player: a brilliant, hungry, dedicated, and high-energy field engineer. Someone who lives and breathes "hardware and iron" but fully understands the power of software.

This role is the beating heart connecting our field operations with our clients. You won’t just make sure systems work; you will be the technological face of AGEERA in front of global tier-1 suppliers, developers, and clients. Your success in commissioning, calibrating, and integrating these sites ensures our clients maximize their assets and enjoy a stable, smart, and fully monitored energy grid. This is an End-to-End responsibility, from engineering schematics to on-site troubleshooting, right up to the first kilowatt flowing into the grid.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Project Ownership: Lead projects from the moment agreements are signed, through commissioning, and into ongoing technical maintenance.
• On-Site Installation & Integration: Lead commissioning and communication connectivity between various field components: Inverters, BESS, Battery Management Systems (BMS), Power Conversion Systems (PCS), controllers, and Gateways.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex, real-time system failures in the field by analyzing logs, telemetry data, registers, and actual system behavior.
• Interface & Vendor Management: Coordinate and work closely with international equipment manufacturers, subcontractors, installers, and our internal R&D teams.
• Advanced Grid-Connected Projects: Execute large-scale Front-of-the-Meter (FTM) and Behind-the-Meter (BTM) storage projects, including grid services connection.

Requirements & Skills

Your Profile

• A perfect blend of high analytical capabilities and a passion for hands-on field work.
• Strong independent diagnostic skills with the ability to solve complex problems under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills: ability to seamlessly transition from working with on-site contractors to collaborating with software engineers and international vendors.
• Highly organized with strong technical writing and documentation skills

Must-Have Qualifications

• Professional Experience: Proven track record in the Solar (PV) and/or Energy Storage sector, with direct field project management responsibility.
• Deep Technological Understanding: Comprehensive knowledge of PV and BESS architecture, as well as the interfaces between key components (Inverters, BMS, PCS).
• Communication Protocols: Full proficiency in industrial communication protocols: Modbus (RTU/TCP), RS-485, CAN, and TCP/IP.
• Mobility: Valid driver’s license and willingness for extensive travel and field work across Israel.
• Languages: Fluent Hebrew and highly proficient Technical English (for global vendor collaboration and technical documentation).

Major advantages

• Certified Chief Electrician ("חשמלאי ראשי") – A huge advantage.
• Experience in commissioning large-scale storage systems (>1 MW).
• Hands-on familiarity with equipment from leading manufacturers (e.g., Sungrow, SolarEdge, SMA, KACO, Huawei).
• Experience with VPP platforms, EMS, or SCADA systems.
• Understanding of the Israeli energy market regulation (TAOZ tariffs, IEC grid connection processes, energy & frequency services).
