Senior Transportation Planner

Last Mile is expanding! We are looking for passionate Urban Planners, Transportation Engineers, and Geographers who want to make a real impact on public spaces, elevate the quality of life for city residents, and take an active role in shaping major municipal and national projects.

What You Will Do:

• Promote and develop mass transit systems.
• Plan and optimize public transportation and bus routes.
• Advance road safety initiatives within urban environments.
• Design people-centric streets that prioritize the community.
• Manage complex projects spanning both transportation and urban development.
• Guide statutory plans (TABA) and municipal policy documents from concept to execution.

What We Are Looking For:

• Educational Background: Degree in Architecture, Civil/Transportation Engineering, Geography, or Urban Planning.
• Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is a significant advantage.
• Mindset: A genuine love for public spaces and a visionary approach to urbanism. (Note: Preferring to drive a private car everywhere is considered a disadvantage here!).
• Analytical Skills: Strong spatial analysis capabilities with the ability to see the "big picture."
• Problem Solving: Creative thinker who can balance competing needs and find solutions in dense, complex urban spaces.
• Resilience: Comfortable working under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Leadership: The ability to dream big and mobilize others to help turn those dreams into reality.

Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications):

• Familiarity with licensing processes and statutory planning in Israel.
• Experience collaborating with public entities, local municipalities, or government ministries.
• Proficiency in spatial software such as GIS or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with transportation models or data analysis tools.
