Airobotics is a global leader in autonomous drone solutions, delivering fully automated aerial systems for industrial, security, and critical infrastructure applications. Our operations combine advanced robotics, software, communications, and mission-critical field deployments to provide reliable autonomous drone services worldwide.
As we expand our operational capabilities, we are building a dedicated Tier 3 Integration & Support team focused on advanced troubleshooting, system integration, operational excellence and continuous improvement across customer deployments and internal systems.
We are looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled Tier 3 Integration & Support Team Leader to establish and lead a new operational support function focused on advanced system integration, technical troubleshooting and customer issue resolution.
This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities. The Team Leader will oversee complex field and customer escalations, support cross-functional integrations, drive operational excellence, and build scalable support processes for autonomous drone systems and related operational platforms.
The ideal candidate is an experienced technical leader who thrives in fast-paced operational environments, understands multidisciplinary systems, and can bridge Operations, R&D and Integration teams.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Build, lead, mentor, and develop the Tier 3 Integration & Support team.
- Define team workflows, escalation paths, KPIs and operational standards.
- Manage task prioritization and resource allocation across ongoing operational activities.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the highest operational escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Lead root-cause analysis efforts for critical system failures and recurring issues.
- Coordinate resolution activities across Operations, R&D, Software, Hardware and Field teams.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer-impacting incidents while maintaining high service quality.
- Support deployment and integration of Airobotics systems across customer environments.
- Lead validation and operational readiness processes for new system releases and configurations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on system improvements, bug tracking, and feature validation.
- Ensure operational procedures and technical documentation remain accurate and up to date.
- Establish scalable troubleshooting methodologies and knowledge-sharing practices.
- Develop internal training materials, playbooks and support documentation.
- Analyze support trends and operational metrics to proactively improve system reliability.
- Drive automation and efficiency initiatives within support and integration workflows.
- Work closely with R&D, QA and Operations teams.
- Represent operational support requirements in product and system development discussions.
- Provide technical insights and operational feedback to improve product performance and customer experience.
- 5+ years of experience in technical support, integration, operations engineering or similar roles.
- 2+ years of leadership or team management experience.
- Experience managing complex multidisciplinary systems in operational environments.
- Background in robotics, drones, aerospace, defense or industrial systems - advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with system integration, networking, Linux environments, and operational software systems.
- Familiarity with hardware/software interactions and field diagnostics.
- Ability to analyze logs, system behavior and operational data.
- Experience with ticketing systems, escalation management and operational processes.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage critical operational incidents.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization capabilities.
- Customer-oriented mindset with strong ownership mentality.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel for deployments, integrations, and field support activities in Israel and abroad, when needed.
- Experience working with autonomous systems or UAV operations.
- Experience building support processes from the ground up.
- Aviation operational background
