Quality Assurance Engineer

We’re looking for a QA Engineer with strong analytical skills and high standards for test documentation. You’ll be responsible for test design and quality coverage across our payment APIs and frontend flows, working closely with a small, fast-moving team.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and execute test plans and test cases for payment APIs and frontend user flows.
• Review product specifications and requirements, identify unclear or missing details, and raise questions early to avoid rework later in the development process.
• Ensure strong test coverage across new features, edge cases, regressions, and system integrations.
• Identify, document, and clearly communicate bugs, risks, and quality concerns to the team.
• Continuously improve QA processes, testing methodologies, and documentation standards to increase product reliability and team efficiency.
• Work closely with developers and product teams throughout the development lifecycle to promote shared ownership of quality.
• Support and encourage a testing culture where developers actively validate their own work and quality is built into the process from the start.
• Take ownership of learning and improving technical and QA skills independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Test Documentation — Write clear and organized test cases, bug reports, and release notes that are easy for developers and stakeholders to understand and act on without additional clarification.
• Test Planning & Coverage — Build structured test plans based on product requirements, user flows, and edge cases. Prioritize testing based on risk and clearly identify any areas that are not fully covered.
• Manual Testing — Perform end-to-end manual testing across core flows, edge cases, error scenarios, regressions, and integrations. Know how to prioritize the most critical tests when time is limited.
• API Testing — Test REST APIs using tools such as Postman, including validating requests, authentication, payloads, status codes, and response behavior.
• Bug Investigation & Reporting — Reproduce issues consistently, isolate the conditions that cause failures, and provide detailed bug reports with clear steps, evidence, and expected vs. actual results.
• Quality & Risk Assessment — Identify quality risks early, raise concerns before development begins when requirements are unclear or difficult to test, and help define release readiness criteria.
• Debugging & System Investigation — Read application logs, use monitoring tools, and trace requests across systems to investigate issues and support troubleshooting efforts.
