Software Engineer III, Duplex

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Go or Python, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
• Experience with data analysis and generating data-driven insights to influence decision-making.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• 2 years of experience programming in Python, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
• Experience with Machine Learning Infrastructure.

The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.

Responsibilities

• Create datasets and evaluate AI model quality.
• Work as a part of an end-to-end product engineering team powering all of Google to build phone conversation bots, and build our own in-house bots.
• Work with other engineering teams across Geo, Search, Research and other product areas to advance Duplex capabilities.
• Build Python backend for communication for the entire Geo ecosystem.
