Inviting applications for the role of Junior Software Engineer.

Responsibilities

1.     Develop and maintain backend services in Python that support document ingestion, OCR processing, and LLM-based extraction workflows.

2.     Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.

3.     Help debug and improve existing extraction pipelines (accuracy, performance, reliability).

4.     Work with APIs (internal and third-party, including LLM providers) to integrate new capabilities.

5.     Contribute to writing unit/integration tests and basic CI/CD practices.

6.     Collaborate with senior engineers, product, and QA to understand requirements and ship features.

7.     Deploy, monitor, and support backend services running on Azure.

Qualifications We Seek in You

1.     A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply).

2.     Solid understanding of Python fundamentals (data structures, OOP, basic algorithms).

3.     Familiarity with version control (Git).

4.     Basic understanding of REST APIs and how backend services communicate.

5.     Comfortable working with data formats such as JSON, and reading/writing structured data.

6.     Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.

7.     Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

8.     Curiosity about AI/LLMs and OCR technologies (no prior professional experience required – we’ll teach you).

Preferred Qualifications

1.     Academic or personal projects involving Python backend development.

2.     Exposure to OCR libraries (e.g., Tesseract, EasyOCR) or document-processing tools.

3.     Exposure to LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) through coursework, hackathons, or personal projects.

4.     Familiarity with Docker, cloud concepts (especially Azure), or SQL/NoSQL databases.

5.     Experience with testing frameworks (pytest, unittest).
