Fundraising Representative- Los Angeles

HaMeir Laarets is looking for a Local Fundraiser

Position Responsibilities

• Represent the organization at events, conferences, community gatherings, Shabbatons, and assemblies
• Maintain an active and proactive presence in the field – engage with potential donors, business leaders, and community influencers
• Present the activities and projects of Hameir Laarets in a relatable, heartfelt, and compelling way
• Fundraise through personal networks, new relationships, and local institutions
• Fundraise through cold calling
• Organize community events and informational evenings to promote awareness
• Prepare the ground for visits by the Rabbi and Israel team: identifying partners, coordinating logistics, and providing on-the-ground support

 Compensation Structure

Base salary: $2,000 per month

10% commission on any donation raised directly through their activities

Key Requirements

• Energetic, proactive individual with a strong presence, seeking a mission rather than a job.
• Proven ability to build a network from the ground up and quickly integrate into community life
• Very high level of personal and professional integrity – mandatory
• Ability to function without ongoing supervision, take responsibility, and develop independent initiatives
• Creative thinking and ability to take initiative – launch and lead projects, partnerships, and events promoting the organization’s goals and deepening the sense of community surrounding its mission
• Existing community and social network – a significant advantage
• Strong personal presentation, self-confidence, and excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Prior experience in sales, fundraising, or community initiative work – major advantage
• Familiarity with local Jewish communities – religious, traditional, and Israeli – preferred
• Understanding of the nonprofit world- must
• Understanding of the Jewish Nonprofit world - preferred
• Native-level English – conversational Hebrew a plus
