The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong motion systems &

robotics experience who can own mechanical development end-to-end — from concept and

design to prototyping, testing, and validation.

You will work on real robotic systems interacting directly with patients. This role requires both

design excellence and experimental rigor.

What You’ll Do

Lead mechanical design of robotic systems and subsystems (actuation, transmission,

structures)

Design and develop mechanisms involving motors, gearboxes & various motion transfer

subsystems, linkages, and sensors

Build and iterate rapid prototypes (hands-on work is a must)

• Take full ownership of the mechanical design of the system and its

components using CAD tools (SolidWorks), including creation of detailed drawings and

assembly instructions.

• Define, write, and execute test protocols; conduct experiments to validate

designs and performance.

• Analyze failures and drive design improvements.
• Work closely with software, controls, electronics, and clinical teams
• Support transition from prototype to production.
• Contribute to documentation for regulatory and quality processes.

What We’re Looking For

5+ years experience in mechanical engineering within motion & robotics systems

Proven experience designing motion & robotic mechanisms (actuation, motion systems,

precision mechanics)

Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks or similar)

Hands-on experience building and debugging robotic prototypes

Experience with testing, validation, and experimental work

• Systems thinker — understands interaction between mechanics, control, and user
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment

Big Advantage If You Have

Experience in medical robotics or human-interactive devices

Experience in regulated environments (FDA / CE)

• Knowledge of motion control
• Experience in defining and designing components from various materials,
• Experience in ergonomics or human biomechanics - designing interfaces between human limbs and devices.
• Experience in designing packaging/mounting for electronic cards and cables.
• Experience in working with contract manufacturers
