Mechanical Engineer -Deep-Tech / Defense | Yokneam (On-site)

📍 Location: Yokneam | Full-time | On-site

A fast-growing Deep-Tech / Defense startup is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of complex mechanical systems, from early concept all the way to a working product in the field.

This role involves working on multi-disciplinary systems in a highly challenging environment, including extreme conditions and integration with hardware and control systems, with direct impact on the product and its architecture.

• Design and develop complex mechanical mechanisms
• Lead full product development - from concept and design to testing and field trials
• Build and test prototypes (hands-on workshop work)
• Plan and execute lab tests and field experiments
• Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors
• Collaborate with hardware, control and additional engineering teams

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of mechanical development experience
• Proven experience in end-to-end product development
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks
• Experience designing complex mechanisms

• Experience with systems operating in extreme conditions (temperature / pressure)
• Experience with powder conveying or complex flow systems
• Experience with simulations (structural / heat transfer)
• Experience with MATLAB / Simulink
• Multi-disciplinary background (control, electronics, aeronautics)

• Strong hands-on approach and ability to work in a workshop environment
• Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
• Able to take ownership and thrive in a small, dynamic team
