Data Scientist

Data Scientist | Jerusalem | Full-time

Mertens Malam Team is hiring a Data Scientist for a public sector organization in Jerusalem. This role offers the opportunity to develop data-driven models and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop data models, strategies, and algorithms
• Apply statistical and mathematical models across various domains
• Build models and interfaces while working with Big Data and BI tools
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, product managers, data engineers, and development teams
• Support the transition of models into production environments
• Assist product managers and business units in implementation and adoption

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in data roles, including at least 1 year in Data Science (data analytics, data engineering, BI development, or data science)
• Experience in developing statistical models and algorithms
• Strong proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn)
• Experience working with SQL and data querying
• Experience with Big Data technologies (Spark / Hadoop – significant advantage)
• Strong understanding of statistics and statistical inference
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
