Senior FPGA Development Engineer

A leading defense organization based in Be’er Yaakov is looking for a Senior FPGA Development Engineer to join its Missile & Space Systems division.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role focused on the development of advanced FPGA-based systems operating in complex, high-performance environments.

📍 Be’er Yaakov | Full-time position

What will you do?

🔧 Develop complex FPGA designs including embedded processors and high-speed interfaces (DDR, PCIe, SERDES, JESD204)

📐 Define architecture and write detailed design documentation

🧩 Implement FPGA modules and perform full system integration

🚀 Support post-production ramp-up and bring-up activities

🛠️ Perform hardware debugging in the lab and support software integration

🧪 Build test benches and run end-to-end simulations

📊 Work with MATLAB and Python for simulation and analysis

Must-have requirements:

✔️ B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (mandatory)

✔️ 5–7 years of experience in complex FPGA development projects

✔️ End-to-end FPGA development experience, including system integration

✔️ Strong experience with VHDL and complex simulations

✔️ Hands-on lab debugging experience using JTAG and scripting

✔️ Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, RF signal generator)

Nice to have:

✨ Experience with signal processing algorithms

✨ MATLAB experience
