Breaking the Silence is an organization founded in 2004 by former Israeli soldiers who aim to raise awareness about the daily reality of military control in the occupied Palestinian territories. By collecting and sharing over 1,500 testimonies from soldiers serving since the Second Intifada, the organization seeks to foster public discourse around the moral and social implications of occupation and advocate for its end. Based in Israel, Breaking the Silence works to shed light on the experiences of soldiers and the impact on civilians in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip. The organization's mission is to promote accountability and dialogue through education and activism.

This is a full-time on-site role located in the Tel Aviv District, Israel. The New Media Coordinator will generate, manage, and curate digital content across various online platforms, with a focus on maintaining and expanding Breaking the Silence’s online presence. Specific responsibilities include planning and managing social media campaigns, creating and editing video content, researching content trends and engagement strategies, and fostering online communities. The role requires collaborating with the communications team and supporting broader organizational goals through digital outreach.

• Expertise in New Media and Social Media management, including content creation and platform optimization
• Strong skills in Communication and an ability to engage diverse online audiences
• Experience in video production and Video Editing for digital platforms
• Research skills to monitor trends and optimize digital engagement strategies
• Familiarity with advocacy or nonprofit work is an advantage
• Proficiency in both Hebrew and English is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
