About the Role

We’re looking for a Design Engineer to bridge design and engineering at Move—someone who can translate high-quality design into production-ready interfaces and help us build scalable, beautiful, and performant products. You’ll work at the intersection of design systems, frontend development, and product thinking, collaborating closely with designers and engineers from the earliest stages. What you’ll do

• Build and maintain high-quality UI components (React or similar)
• Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces
• Develop and evolve our design system in code
• Collaborate with designers to refine interactions and UX details
• Prototype ideas quickly in code (not just static mockups)
• Ensure consistency, performance, and scalability across the product
• Contribute to AI-driven interfaces (dynamic states, real-time feedback, etc.)

What we’re looking for Core Skills

• Strong frontend skills (React, TypeScript, modern CSS)
• Deep understanding of UI/UX principles and visual design
• Experience building and maintaining design systems
• High attention to detail (spacing, typography, interaction quality)

Design Collaboration

• Comfortable working directly from Figma and design specs
• Ability to push back and improve designs through implementation
• Strong communication with designers and product teams

Product & AI Awareness

• Understanding of modern product development workflows
• Interest or experience in AI-driven interfaces
• Ability to handle complex UI states and edge cases

Nice to have

• Experience with animation (Framer Motion, etc.)
• Experience with design tokens / theming systems
• Familiarity with tools like Storybook
• Experience working in design-driven teams

• The gap between design and production disappears
• Interfaces feel polished, fast, and consistent
• Design system becomes a true product asset (not just a file)
• Designers and engineers collaborate seamlessly
