About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior System Testing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and validating a complex Python-based system built around advanced AI agents and cybersecurity-oriented functionality, including both backend services and web-based components.

This is a junior position (paying 12-15K equivalent for a full time position), but it requires strong technical understanding, curiosity, and a willingness to dive deep into complex and evolving environments at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Perform system-level testing of a multi-component software platform
• Test backend services as well as web interfaces
• Validate AI-driven behaviors and system decision flows
• Evaluate system robustness, reliability, and security-related functionality
• Design, execute, and document test cases and test plans
• Identify, analyze, and report bugs and system inconsistencies
• Collaborate closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues
• Contribute to improving testing methodologies and automation processes
• Assist in maintaining testing environments and datasets

Requirements

• Second year student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Solid knowledge of Python (reading, understanding, and basic coding)
• Basic experience with web development (HTML, CSS)
• Familiarity with modern Python web frameworks (e.g., FastAPI) and running services (e.g., Uvicorn)
• Understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
• Basic knowledge of networking and cybersecurity concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Good communication skills in English

Nice to Have

• Exposure to AI systems or agent-based architectures
• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools, concepts, or testing approaches
• Experience with automated testing frameworks
• Basic JavaScript knowledge
• Experience testing REST APIs and web services
• Understanding of system integrations or distributed systems
