Strategic Communications Lead

CyberWell is seeking a stellar Strategic Communications Lead to join our small but dedicated team! This position is full-time and is available for immediate start. We work in a hybrid format and are in our Tel Aviv office 3 days a week. This position will report to the COO.

About Us

CyberWell is a start-up nonprofit on a mission to address online antisemitism and hate in the digital era. We partner with the most influential tech companies, driving the enforcement and improvement of hate speech policies across the online space and equipping them with data-driven solutions to limit the spread of Jew-hatred on their platforms, apps, and services.

You Are

Social media and digitally fluent

An expert copy editor and writer

Able to take complex terms and concepts and translate them into messaging appropriate for different audiences (tech experts, niche professionals, donors, partners, etc.)

Passionate about communications and marketing strategy

Comfortable with and excited about new technologies and terminology

Creative, curious, and constantly asking questions to better understand

Able to synthesize – take information from various outputs and compile them into a cohesive product

Energized by working in a dynamic start-up environment

Detail and process oriented - Organized

Responsibilities include

Develop and execute the communications and PR strategy in partnership with internal teams and external suppliers.

Take CyberWell’s data insights and analysis and translate it into consumable content for CyberWell’s participation in conferences (presentations), social media content, research reports, op-eds, blogs, newsletters, annual report, and more.

Day-to-day, meet with CyberWell teams to understand upcoming projects and insights, plan the communications strategy, and spend time writing, editing, and re-writing.

You will be working with external PR suppliers and will be responsible for overseeing the larger organizational communications strategy and guiding the PR suppliers to remain on message.

This position may require interaction with and management of digital influencers in a project-specific capacity.

Qualifications

Identification with CyberWell’s mission

Native English – a must

High-level Hebrew – strong advantage

Communications experience – 2 years minimum

Content writing and editing master

Proficiency with social network tools and metrics

Relevant marketing experience – strong advantage

Graphic design and visual arts experience or skills – strong advantage

Experience in the field of antisemitism, hate speech, or discrimination – advantage
