Backend Team Leader

The Role & Responsibilities-

• People Leadership: Directly managing a team of backend engineers, focusing on mentorship, professional growth, and maintaining elite delivery standards.
• Technical Ownership (30% Hands-on): Remaining active in the codebase, conducting design reviews, and shaping the architecture of mission-critical, high-availability systems.
• High-Scale Engineering: Building and scaling a complex Microservices architecture using a modern, polyglot backend stack (JVM-based).
• Real-Time Data Orchestration: Overseeing systems that utilize Kafka and Spark for high-throughput event streaming and large-scale data processing.
• Cloud-Native Infrastructure: Working within a sophisticated AWS environment orchestrated by Kubernetes, ensuring robustness for global financial operations.

Requirements-

• Academic Foundation: B.Sc. in Computer Science or Software Engineering from a recognized academic institution – Mandatory.
• Leadership Experience: Proven experience in direct people management of engineering teams – Mandatory.
• Engineering Seniority: Significant professional background in Backend development, with deep expertise in Java or Kotlin – Mandatory.
• Architectural Depth: Extensive experience with Microservices and modern frameworks (e.g., Spring).
• Cloud & Ecosystem Mastery: Hands-on experience with AWS; familiarity with Kubernetes, Kafka, or NoSQL databases is a significant advantage.
• Strategic Mindset: A proactive leader who can bridge complex product requirements with high-end engineering execution.
