Teaching & Research Laboratory Technician

Job Description:

• Operation and maintenance of experimental systems in the department’s teaching and research laboratories.

• Assisting in the development, planning, construction, and updating of new and existing experimental systems for teaching and research.

• Supporting and training students in the use of laboratory equipment, workshop tools, and mechanical devices.

• Responsibility for the operation and proper functioning of laboratory equipment in the teaching and research labs.

• Handling procurement of laboratory equipment and materials.

• Coordinating laboratory needs with the Head of Department.

• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations within the scope of the role.

• Performing additional tasks as assigned.

• Reports to: Head of Department.

Requirements:

• Practical engineer/technician in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

• At least two years of relevant experience.

• Experience in operating and maintaining laboratory and computerized equipment.

• Advantage: experience in training or instructing others.

Position Scope: Full-time (100%), temporary position for approximately six months
