Lab Technician Student

Were searching for a Lab Technion Student who will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our Linux-based server infrastructure, as well as managing various network services and components.

Student will have at least 4 semesters remaining in their degree. The ideal candidate will posses a strong passion for learning new things and the ability to quickly put that new knowledge and skills into practice. You will have the ability to perform basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and networking issues without guidance.

Basic Qualifications
- Must be a student for technical degree (CS, EE, etc) with at least 4 semesters remaining and available for 3 work days per week. Ability to support needs in both Haifa and Tel Aviv.
- Familiarity with protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, TFTP, HTTP, SSH; additional familiarity with PC and servers HW.
- Capable of independently lifting and handling servers when required.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization.
- Prior experience with Network and Linux systems (CentOS, Red Hat, Ubuntu) for 1-3 years is an advantage.
- Experience with PXE is a Plus.
