Engineering Team Lead - Ad Server & High-Scale Systems

About the Role We are looking for an experienced Engineering Team Lead to own and lead the development of a mission-critical Ad Server product operating at massive scale. In this role, you will manage and evolve a high-availability infrastructure handling billions of transactions per day, while driving end-to-end feature delivery — from architecture and implementation to deployment and monitoring. You will work closely with Product, BI, Operations, and Business teams to build systems that directly impact how users engage with content across the web. The environment combines hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure, using a broad and modern technology stack. What You’ll Do • Own and lead a large-scale monetization and ad-serving platform • Maintain ultra-high availability systems (99.999% uptime) • Lead, mentor, and grow a backend engineering team • Drive architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance • Own delivery across the full development lifecycle • Manage multiple projects and ensure timely, high-quality releases • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Business, BI, and Operations • Oversee production deployments, monitoring, and incident response

Requirements

What We’re Looking For • 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on system design • 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams • Strong cloud experience (AWS) • Proficiency with Go and Redis • Proven background building large-scale distributed systems • Experience working across cloud and on-prem environments • Ability to manage complex priorities while maintaining engineering quality • Experience owning project planning, execution, and delivery Strong Advantages • Background in AdTech environments • Experience with Kafka or streaming systems • Knowledge of NGINX • Experience with Angular or Python
